Objectives of workshop:
To learn and subsequently apply knowledge on:
- Effectively managing health & safety risks at civil construction project sites through safe work practices and procedures.
- Identifying civil construction site specific hazards, minimizing their risks of accidents with appropriate control measures, avoiding the financial costs related to accidents & occupational ill health and thereby minimizing project execution cost and ensuring on-time completion of project.
- Selecting the right contractors, developing their competency, evaluating H&S performance and ensuring accident-free work output from the contractor workforce at project site.
- Preventing personal injury/illness and property damage associated with high risk activities involved in project sites including excavation, hot work, electrical work, work at height, scaffolding, crane operation, heavy equipment operation, material movement etc.
